Regina Scissor Lift Operator Certification - North American regulators recommend that workplaces need operators of booms, scissor lifts or aerial work platforms to obtain certification training. Scissor lift operator certification is not mandatory, but there are advantages to ensuring that this particular training is offered to all the operators.
In order to enable workers to get to high levels, the scissor lift is a work platform made together with a pantograph, that is a linked, folding support which shaped in an 'X' pattern. Upward movement happens when pressure is applied to the outside of the lowest set of supports, propelling the work platform vertically by lengthening the 'X' pattern. A bridge extends from certain platforms in order to allow convenient access to the work site.
The platform returns to the ground by manually releasing a valve. The platform descends through simple release of pneumatic or hydraulic pressure. This is the key reason that scissor lifts are the machine of choice at worksites.
Both new and experienced operators can benefit from correct scissor lift training. This course could be tailored to focus specially on the specific equipment kinds at your worksite. The trainees' certificate of training will list the models of machinery on which they trained.
The classroom instruction covers the following subject matters: introduction to scissor lift training; rules and guidelines, authorization and attitude; safety rules and common hazards; Occupational Health and Safety; workbook and record of training (ROT)
The in-class session would end with a written test.
The following areas practical hands-on training and instruction include: safety equipment; pre-operational check; function test checklist; operators guidebook; regular maintenance and the practical session would conclude with a demonstration of proficiency.
